Greg Knight, President
Mr. Knight has extensive experience in PV, with a strong manufacturing, market and process technology background. Mr. Knight has been in the PV industry since 2001.
Prior to establishing PV Tech Group in 2010, Mr. Knight was the Director of Process Engineering at GT Advanced Technologies (GTAT). At GTAT, Mr. Knight was responsible for the design and implementation of the company’s turnkey PV projects. This included the installation and start-up of fabrication facilities generating over $100m in revenue for GTAT. Mr. Knight was also head of a strategic development team at GTAT that focused on the evaluation of new PV technologies and companies.
Prior to GTAT, Mr. Knight was the Director of Solar Cell and Wafer Manufacturing at Schott Solar.
Mr. Knight has a BA in Chemistry from Cornell University and a formal nuclear engineering education from the US Navy Nuclear Power School.
Simon Price, VP of Strategic Planning
Mr. Price is responsible for PVTG’s market analysis and forecasting, strategic planning and financial analysis services, and co-founded PV Tech Group in 2010.
Over his 19-year career, Mr. Price has provided strategic planning, business development, M&A due diligence, market analysis, market forecasting and fundraising services to a number of leading companies, primarily in the PV, interactive entertainment and communications technology sectors. He has developed and maintains one of the most comprehensive market models in the PV industry today.
Having worked in the PV sector since 2008, Mr. Price was previously a management consultant in the interactive entertainment industry, where he provided services to a number of industry-leading manufacturers including Microsoft, Sony, Intel and Nokia. Other clients included leading software publishers and financial institutions.
Mr. Price holds an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London, and a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
